Water generates high revenues for tiny Lesotho

Only one third of the continent's population has access to enough water, which means that those countries lucky enough to be endowed with rivers and lakes have a resource to trade on. They can use water for hydro-energy investments and for selling it to neighbouring states.

Even though Lesotho has high debt levels and high unemployment, it is raking in billions by selling water to South Africa.
