HDR - a way to make television more real?

High Definition TVs are now being replaced by 4K TVs in our homes - offering four times the number of pixels of HD.

Manufacturers have now started adding High Dynamic Range (HDR) on their latest models giving a greater range of brightness, luminosity, depth and detail to the picture.

But will it bring a real improvement in picture quality?

BBC Click's Dan Simmons went to Sony's British headquarters to check out HDR to see how it compares with a standard 4K picture and find out more about the technology behind it.
