Sia has announced her split from husband Erik Anders Lang.

The singer and film producer have gone their separate ways after two years of marriage.

The couple got engaged in 2014 and tied the knot just two months later.

In a joint statement the pair have said they would be "dedicated to remaining friends." In the past she has spoken about how he influenced her music and the pressures of having a public relationship.

"After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends," they said in the joint statement to People.

They haven't confirmed the reason for their split but have said they won't be making any more comments.

Since the announcement, fans have been sending Sia their support on social media.

The camera-shy singer, known for covering her face while she performs waited eight months to announce her marriage.

And she hinted at the pressures of being in the public eye.

"It's kind of disappointing because we can't do anything. I'm kind of a bit famous. I didn't realise I'm so famous," she said during an interview with Australian radio station Nova 96.9.
