Haunting images of WW2 London's 'archive of destruction'

In the 1940s, the British government employed photographers and artists to chronicle the aftermath of German attacks.

As well as recording the destruction for official purposes, the artists managed to produce images of great beauty.

Francis Marshall is the curator of "Perspectives of Destruction: Images of London, 1940-44" at the Museum of London.
